Today’s in-line weighing applications demand the small size, high accuracy and long-term reliability offered by the 200 Series of load cells from Richmond Industries. These miniature bidirectional load cells are easy to integrate into all types of materials testing equipment, cable tension monitors and other industrial applications, providing robust and accurate performance in six ranges from 0-500N to 0-20kN.
All devices share the same compact “button-style” outline with a diameter of 32mm and a body height of just 20mm. Two robust M12 male threads are provided as standard for in-line mounting on both sides, although these can alternatively be specified as female threads or as spherical ends for purely compression applications. A generous 2m-long captive screened cable is provided as standard for all electrical connections, with alternative connections available on request.
The accuracy of the 200 Series load cells is impressive. These low-deflection devices promise maximum nonlinearity and hysteresis of 0.25% and 0.03% of full range output, respectively, and thermal sensitivity of just 0.005% of full-range output per degree Celsius. Full temperature compensation is provided between +20 and +70C, and the load cells are specified to operate as low as -20C, enabling their use in outdoor cable tension monitoring applications.
Onboard automatic calibration enables simple setup and maintains performance over extended periods. Overload capacity is 125% without loss of calibration and 150% with no risk of physical damage. And to further simplify application of the Richmond Industries 200 Series load cell, Sensor-Technik can supply mounting accessories including load buttons and in-line adapters.
