The A09 series of thin-film-technology pressure sensors are manufactured by Sensor-Technik for both industrial hydraulics and vehicle-mounted hydraulic systems, combining extremely rugged construction with a wide temperature range. The all-stainless-steel A09 features and IP67 sealing, and is optimised for all forms of hydraulic systems.
The sensors work in ambient temperatures from -25 to +85C, and devices are available with a choice of pressure ranges from 0-3 to 0-1000bar. An optional high-temperature version is available for higher-range devices that extends the working range from -40 to +125C.
The A09 series uses the latest thin-film measurement technology. And because both the measuring element and sensor housing are constructed from stainless steel there is no need for filling, which in turn removes the need for the perishable sealing components that can compromise reliability in alternative designs. Linearity is typically better than 0.5% of full scale, and pressure hysteresis and repeatability are specified as better than 0.1% of full scale.
As a result, the A09 sensor provides high performance and is both rugged and reliable.
Electrical connection is via M12 connector as standard, with several other options available, and the A09 can be specified with either current (4-20mA) or voltage (0-10V) output. The standard pressure connection is via a G1/4 male thread, but virtually any other industry-standard thread can be specified.
