About the Company
Sensor-Technik UK Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH (STW), one of the world’s major players in CANbus technology, in particular CANbus controllers, which are now widely used in mobile plant and machinery. We also develop and manufacture pressure sensors for hydraulic, pneumatic and food industry applications, and provide system components such as operator interfaces and instrumentation from suitable manufacturers. We also supply a series of encoders and loadcells which are generating a lot of interest.
We also have some fantastic system integration capabilities, from PLC programming to mobile operator interface design. Our experience covers manufacturers such as STW, Graf, Wachendorff, Bosch, IFM, Danfoss, Micronor and APEM, and we’ve developed systems for vehicle and and engine brands such as Volvo, Scania, DAF, Perkins, Cummins, Deutsch and others.
There is no question the products we have are very good indeed. But we like to think we can offer more – in particular, my years of experience in the sensors and control industry. Many of you will know me as the regular sensors columnist in Industrial Technology, one of the UK’s biggest engineering magazines. When you deal with Sensor-Technik UK, all the advice and support I can give you comes as part of the package.

Meet The Team!
Morten Moller and Monika Moller founded Sensor-Technik UK in 2001. Morten, who describes himself as a “hands-on basic electronics and mechanical engineer”, studied in Denmark and has been involved in the sensor industry for nearly thirty years, working in Europe and the USA. For many years Morten was known to many UK engineers as the sensors advice columnist for Industrial Technology magazine. His industry knowledge is extensive, making him an ideal reference for applications advice in a range of sectors. Monika oversees the day-to-day running of the company, organising stock and components, and ensuring goods leave on time. However she also has extensive skilled experience in electronic wiring and assembly from the military sector, and is therefore very sympathetic to customer needs!
Mark Wood is a CANbus specialist, from hardware configuration to software. Mark is able to advise on anything from simple correct product selection for an application, including software, to more complex project management. For complete systems, including everything from cables to hardware and software, Mark can organise it all, once again giving customers a single point of contact for a complete engineering project.
Nickolas (Nick) Digirolamo is a young hardworking software and hardware engineer who is continually looking for new knowledge and is currently studying for his HNC. Nick works closely with Mark Wood on project management and building complete systems from software to hardware and installation. His background from other companies gives him a good understanding of how mechanical systems work and the application of electric motors and hydraulics.
Aidan Dyde is our is our dedicated service engineer, travelling all over the UK. Aidan is the first port of call when service, commissioning, installation and troubleshooting are required in the field, with expertise spanning from hardware configuration to software. Aidan can advise on a wide range of topics from computer interface and screen setup to integration of CANbus components including software and hardware, to more complex project management. His background in computer networking and knowledge of Visual Basic give him the perfect skill set to satisfy customer application requirements.
Nigel Green heads up our new machine shop, enabling the company to perform most mechanical machining in-house. Nigel’s expertise and experience means that we can now do special box builds and produce customised equipment to exact customer specifications.
Neil Blakemore is our accountant, making sure that our customers and suppliers are all up to date with payments, as well as overseeing the company’s finances.
Finally, the newest addition to our team is not quite so human! Our new van, christened Noddy by the team, has become a firm favourite with all our engineers.
