The STW D01 is a high-accuracy differential pressure transmitter that is ideal for machine tool engineering, filter control and flow measurement applications.
Constructed with a piezoresistive measuring element in a rugged and compact stainless-steel housing, the D01 is available with standard measurement ranges from 0-0.1 to 0-20bar, although devices can be specified with almost any other range at no extra charge.
The D01 pressure transmitter can be trusted to product highly accurate pressure data: linearity error is typically just 0.2% of full scale, and combined hysteresis and repeatability errors are guaranteed at 0.1% of full scale. What’s more, this accuracy is maintained over time, with long-term stability as good as 1.2% of full scale per year, eliminating the need for frequent recalibration.
These rugged devices are also highly tolerant of pressure overloads: for example, a device with a 0-1bar pressure range will tolerate a full 3bar overload on the positive side and even 1 bar overload on the negative side. This makes the D01 a highly reliable device for application in hydraulic systems in construction plant and other off-highway equipment that can be subject to extreme physical stresses.
Further operational robustness is assured with an ambient temperature rating from -10 to +85C and environmental sealing to IP65 as standard.
In design terms, the D01 offers maximum flexibility for equipment manufacturers, with a full range of pressure connections available as standard, and industry-standard electrical connection using a Binder 723 Series plug with short-circuit and reverse-polarity connection also provided as standard.
Both two- and three-wire measurement techniques are supported, offering 0-20mA, 4-20mA and 0-10V output signals for further applications flexibility.
