Free Publication: Electronic Sensing and Mechanical Measurement

This terrific 16-page guide is an ideal introduction to pressure and force measurement technology. Send for your free copy now and read all about it.
When selecting a sensor - any sensor, whether for temperature, pressure or load - it is easy to specify details such as range, mechanical thread required and the like. But there are a number of extra questions you need to ask to ensure you get a device that will offer you maximum reliability. Failure to take all the relevant factors into account will quickly impact on performance, on production costs, on calibration requirements and on the ongoing maintenance requirements for the whole system.
In this guide we give you the right questions to ask. Once you’ve considered them all, you are ready to choose a sensor which will be most technically suitable for your application. Of course you may find that meeting the specifications above leads you to a device which is much more expensive than can be justified. In that instance, you may need to rethink the application and open up the specifications in order to achieve the target cost.
