The PT1000 is a low-cost single-point load cell that features marine-grade ingress protection, and so is ideally suited to upgrading weighing applications in industries that demand a high level of environmental protection.
Covering a wide spectrum of platform weighing tasks, the PT1000 comes in two different physical guises, covering 3 to 35kg and 50 to 250kg, respectively. Both are direct bolt-on replacements for other industry-standard single-point load cells. Suitable for common retail, medical and check weighing applications, the smaller model measures only 130mm long, is just 22mm high and can accommodate platforms up to 350mm square. Eight different models are available, with load ranges from 0-3kg to 0-35kg.
The larger style of load cell is still compact at 150mm long and 38mm high, and is available with five different ranges from 0-50kg to 0-250kg. This model can accommodate platform sizes up to 400 x 500mm, covering a wide range of applications from person weighing to industrial hoppers.
All versions of the PT1000 load cell feature IP66 protection with PT’s Sureseal design, made from marine anodised aluminium. All types will safely accommodate 150% of rated load, and can tolerate up to 300% of rated load before mechanical failure.
The load cells feature temperature compensation for accurate operation between -10 and +40C, and can also be operated over a wider -30 to +70C temperature range. Accuracy is assured with linearity error quoted at better than 0.02% and nonrepeatability at better than 0.01%.
