The Micronor MR175 series handheld pendant station is a stylish, rugged and practical handheld control or programming console for a wide range of industrial and robotic applications. Typical uses include control of CNC machines, cranes, assembly lines, process control, welding robots or as a teaching pendant.
The pendant station offers a wide range of controls as standard, including a master emergency stop switch, side-mounted left/right enable switches, two rotary switches, four pushbuttons, a potentiometer and a manual pulse generator. The unit is CE machine safety compliant, with the emergency-stop and enable switches providing both direct wired connections and computer-readable status signals.
The unit incorporates onboard processing and signal conditioning hardware, communicating with the machine controller using simple 11byte transmission packets.
For safety-critical applications, the MR175 offer two enable button options – dead man (two-position off/on) or live man (three-position off/on/off). For CNC machine applications, the dead man option provides an “on” state or closed circuit when the enable buttons are fully depressed and releases control when the buttons are released. For compliance with UL1740 in robotics applications, the live man mode delivers the “on” or closed circuit state when the enable buttons are held at the mid-point of their travel. A released or fully depressed switch will open the switch circuit and cause the machine to stop operation.
The standard MR175 is supplied with buttons labelled for a typical CNC machine application, and can be specified with a choice of RS422/RS484 or RS232 serial interfaces. The unit can also be supplied custom labelling and the controls configured for specific OEM applications as well as offering choice of serial or hard-wired interfacing.
