Why source pressure sensors from Sensor-Technik UK?

Sensor-Technik UK’s range of pressure sensors, from parent company STW, feature TiN (titanium nitride) thin film coating technology to make them particularly compact. The precision and long-term stability specifications are similarly impressive. The diaphragm, in the form of a capsule, is welded onto the mechanical port without the use of any sealing materials, giving a totally sealed (water/air-tight) connection. And by including integrated temperature compensation on the diaphragm, the need for external electronics is minimised. This also allows the temperature compensation to take much faster effect, as it is mounted with the strain gauges.
A technical introduction to TiN technology sensors, including a discussion of the advantages over piezoresistive sensors, has been widely published, and you may find it interesting.
In the current STW range you’ll find measuring cells for hydraulic systems (up to 3000 bar), pressure transmitters for measuring hydrostatic pressure, pressure transmitters for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, transmitters for measuring in-cylinder pressure, pressure transmitters for applications up to 350C and more. The sensors can be supplied to provide standard signals (e.g 4-20mA, 0-10V etc.), and a CANbus interface output is also available. Need something out of the ordinary? No problem. STW manufactures the components of its thin film sensors within the organisation, so we are able to match precisely the respective electronics and measuring elements. See our data sheets page for the complete range listing.
Morten Moller of Sensor-Technik UK says: I’ve worked with a lot of different types of pressure sensors over the years, both as a user and a supplier, and the technology behind these products is truly exceptional. A wide operating temperature range, fast temperature compensation and a minimum of external paraphernalia, on devices at very conventional prices. I think that with the superb pressure sensor range available from STW and my own years of experience in sensors and instrumentation technology, we’ve got a combination here you’ll find hard to beat. So give me a call, or email me with details of your application, and I’ll get to work on providing you with pressure sensing systems which have some real technical advantages …and which are cost-effective too!
