The PReview 5714 is a 4-digit LED display that tells the full story. Unlike traditional low-cost 7-segment displays that are fine for displaying numbers but have limited text capabilities, each of the 5714’s four digits is 13.8mm high and is made up of 14 segments. This means this cost-effective display can use the full alphabet, and so all text can be easily understood.
The PReview 5714 is ideal for displaying current, voltage, temperature and potentiometer signals, and is particularly suitable for applications where reliability and accurate indication is essential. A 4-20mA analogue output offers programmable response time, and two relay outputs are available with freely programmable on/off delay. Separate yellow LEDs indicate the status of each of the relays.
All operating parameters can be programmed and adjusted using the front-panel keypad. Setup is simplified with help texts are scrolled on the display in any of eight user-selectable languages. Programmable parameters include: input type, output signal, cable compensation for Pt100 temperature sensors and zero setting for potentiometer inputs.
The PReview 5714 indicator runs from a universal 24-230V AC 50-60Hz (24-250V DC) supply, with a dielectric withstand rating of 2.3kV AC. The front panel is sealed to IP65, and an optional splash-proof cover will provide additional protection in hostile process environments.
The display is suitable for use worldwide, and comes with a full set of international safety approvals, including UL508, EMC certification to EN61326 and compliance with the Low Voltage Directive. Additional certifications include Det Norske Veritas for use both on ships and offshore.
