The WS2 Series from Precision Transducers comprises a range of platform scales for just about every conceivable weighing application. With capacities ranging from 30 to 300kg and the ability to operate in both metric and Imperial weighing modes, the WS2 Series combines rugged construction with high-resolution measurement and a range of preset functions that enable users to speed through routine weighing operations with ease.
The scales feature a large easy-to-read pole-mounted backlit 6-digit liquid crystal display that provides unambiguous results with a typical resolution of 1/6000 of the scale’s full range. So even the largest 300kg model provides readouts of weight to within 50g. This accuracy is assured with the provision of automatic calibration on all models.
The model range offers a choice of platform sizes to accommodate the widest possible variety of loads. For example, a 60kg-capacity scale can be ordered with a choice of 400 x 300, 520 x 370 or 600 x 460mm platform, depending on the application intended. In all cases, the display is mounted well away from the platform, ensuring that it can be easily read at all times.
Ease of use in high-throughput applications is enhanced through several built-in weighing modes. These include the ability to enter a set weight for high/low/OK check weighing, a counting mode, weight accumulation and gross/net weight indication.
The WS2 Series runs from any standard single-phase mains supply, and offers the added convenience of onboard rechargeable batteries to enable portable or mobile applications. Power-saving modes prolong battery life between charges, and the display provides full data on battery charge status and advance warning of low power reserves.
Options for the WS2 Series include an RS232C serial output for connection to a printer, and the facility for relay outputs with three sets of contacts to enable integration with external alarms or indicators in check weighing applications.
